It is not our intention to outshine or overshadow anyone, because we know that this region already has remarkable restaurants.
Our aspiration is to stand shoulder to shoulder with them – to be recognized for the same dignity, for food that carries a mark of excellence, and for a space where every guest feels comfortable and welcome.


The Uvac River winds through the valley like a silver thread, nestled among hills that rise in a perfect circle. Their peaks resemble a crown – a natural wreath lifted above the plain. That is how the field got its name — Carevo Polje (“The Tyar’s Field”)
Years passed, and the place changed its face, but the name remained. When the new owner decided to open the restaurant, everything was transformed: the walls, the furniture, the menu. Only the name stayed untouched. Because a name does not belong to the owner or the guest — it belongs to the land that shaped it.
Today, as you sit on the terrace and look at the hills, you see the same crown that once gave this place its name. The restaurant carries that name forward, not by changing the story — but by writing its next chapter.

Staff
At Carevo Polje, we believe that the restaurant experience is measured not only by the food, but also by the people who create it. Our staff is discreet, but always present.
Waiters who know when to approach and when to leave room for conversation. Courtesy and professionalism are the rule, not the exception.
Food
The menu is designed to combine the best of traditional cuisine and international classics. From lamb specialties and risotto, to light salads and pasta with a gluten-free option — every plate is there for a reason, without excess and without compromise. The focus is on freshness and taste, not on pretentious experiments.


Drinks and wine list
The drink menu is designed to follow the rhythm of the day: espresso in the morning, refreshing juice in the afternoon, beer or cocktail in the evening. The wine list is alive, constantly being supplemented with new labels, but the guests’ favorites never disappear. With each dish, we recommend the wine that best suits it, because we believe that a good pairing is a match that is remembered.
In 2021, the restaurant was completely renovated.
Instead of erasing the past, we chose to give it a new chapter.
The space now radiates simplicity and modern design lines.
Wood and metal create a balance of warmth and elegance, while light and details add a special charm to the ambiance.
Restaurant Carevo Polje has become a place where comfort, peace, and flavor come together – a space that meets today’s standards while carrying a name that belongs to the centuries.

Special thanks
Special thanks to Mr. Miralem Gogalić, whose support and faith in this project meant a lot at the moment when Carevo Polje was being rebuilt.
Although he was not part of the team of the restaurant itself, his help and presence were a valuable support.
Unfortunately, Miralem left us in 2024, but his name remains written as part of the story of a place that was created with the support of friends and good people.
